HEM track and field takes first in 10 events, both boys and girls teams return home as Regional runner ups, look forward to State meet in Casper
The Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) High School track and field team went to regionals in Sheridan and came in 2nd of all the schools that attended.
In six of the boys track events, HEM athletes came in 1st. The HEM girl athletes came in 1st in four events. The Miners, as a team, did very well in Sheridan.
“We had a tremendous regional meet with our usual suspects doing their jobs and other team members coming through with some amazing performances,” HEM Head Track and Field Coach Jackie Jones said. “To have both teams come home as regional runner ups was quite an accomplishment.”
