Small group of Panthers head to Pine Bluffs Invitational, Schneider again prequalifies for State
The Saratoga Panthers Track and Field team hit the road as they headed to Pine Bluffs on Thursday to compete in the Pine Bluffs Invitational. Saratoga took only six athletes to Pine Bluffs due to them being unable to attend the Okie Blanchard Invite in Cheyenne on April 15. While in Pine Bluffs, Sam Schneider, again, prequalified for the State Championship in multiple events.

In the field events, Taylor Bennett placed 6th in the triple jump with a distance of 31’2.75”.
In the track events, Shianne Baker placed 6th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.77 and Bennett placed 4th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 30.04. Kaitlyn Campbell placed 5th in the 100 meter hurdle with a time of 18.67 and 4th in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 55.06.
Boys at Pine Bluffs
Sam Schneider was the only members of the boys team to attend the Pine Bluffs Invite and, again, secured a spot at state for himself in the high jump, triple jump and long jump. In the high jump, Schneider finished in 1st place with a height of 6’4”. In the triple jump, Schneider finished in 1st with a distance of 42’8.75” and also placed 1st in the long jump with a distance of 19’11”.
Saratoga has a busy weekend planned as they head to Casper on Friday to compete in the Wyoming Track Classic. The following day, Saturday, they will host the Burt Willford Invite in Saratoga, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
