Claudia Gail Barlett

Claudia Gail Bartlett, 70, passed away peacefully at her home in Laramie on April 12, 2019. Claudia was born in Fort Collins, Colo. on March 30, 1949, the youngest child of Dorothy (Kuhn) and Leslie H. McCartney of LaPorte, Colo.

Claudia lived in LaPorte until she graduated from Poudre High School in 1967. She married Montie E. Munroe in August of that year. She and Montie moved to Encampment, Wyo. in 1972. They had three daughters; Cathy, Monica, and Melissa.

Claudia spent all of her adult life in Wyoming. She was very active in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her love of animals was evident to anyone that knew her. Her house was home to a multitude of critters large and small. She spent many years as a member of the Carbon County Cowbells. She was also an active member of the American Legion Post 54 Auxiliary in Saratoga. One of her favorite outings was attending the concerts at the Saratoga Community Center.

Claudia married William L. Bartlett on April 10, 1998. They enjoyed traveling and spending time at their condo in Yellowstone National Park. Claudia and Bill lived in Saratoga until his passing in December 2013. In 2014 Claudia went to live with her daughter Cathy in order to help with household duties and take care of her grandson Wyatt.

Claudia was proceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by children, Cathy Glenn of Laramie; Monica (Chris) Solaas of Rock Springs; and Melissa (Beau) Addison of Collbran, Colo. She is also survived by her grandchildren Josh (Erin) Solaas, Zach (Jennie) Solaas, Samantha Addison, Alexis Addison and Wyatt Glenn. Great grandchildren; Landon, Addison, Jaxon and Maxine.

Graveside services will be held at the Saratoga Cemetary at 1 p.m. on Sat. April 27, 2019 with a reception to follow at American Legion Post 54.
