Encampment track has two athletes prequalify for State at Natrona Invitational
A balmy weekend greeted the Encampment track team in Casper as they brought 12 athletes to compete at the Natrona Invitational held Saturday.
The springlike weather may have encouraged Lizzi James and Amber Stubbs as the pair qualified for State during the team’s second outing.
Women’s Results
James qualified for State tournament with her 5th place shot put distance of 99’11” and added a discus throw of 30’9.5” while at the event.
Stubbs was the other Lady Tiger to join the ranks of those going to State by running the 3200 meter in a time of 13:03 which also garnered the athlete a 4th place finish.
The other Lady Tigers finished as follows:
Katie Dugger: shot put-24’3”, discus-54’2”.
Grace Tieszen: Triple Jump-27’3”, 800 meter run-3:03.
Men’s Results
The men’s team finished the Casper event as follows:
Dayne Anderson: shot put-34’0”, discus-92’7”, 100 meter dash-13.96.
Corbin Sifford: shot put-35’2”, discus-78’6”, 100 meter dash-16.32.
Michael Anderson: 100 meter dash-13.95, 200 meter dash-28.34.
Caysen Barkhurst: triple jump-33’10.50”, long jump-15’8.25”, 100 meter dash-13.01.
Lane LaBorde: long jump-13’3”, 800 meter run-2:45.
Kaleb Carr: long jump-13’9”, 1600 meter run-5:49.
Jarom Herring: 1600 meter run-5:06, 800 meter run-2:16.
Kyler Miller: Triple Jump-35’3”, 110 meter hurdles-20.55.
The next scheduled meet for the Encampment track team is Saturday, March 30 at the Wyoming Indian Invite in Ethete.
