Elizabeth Lucretia Hotchkiss and Brett Alan Dabb were married on Feb. 24, 2019, at the Boettcher Mansion on Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colo. Caley Johnson, a friend of the bride and groom, officiated. Eliza is the daughter of Berkeley and Margaret Hotchkiss of Saratoga; Brett's parents are David and Laurel Dabb of Wilmington, N.C.
Eliza is a graduate of Saratoga High School. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in geology and geography from Vassar College and a master of science degree in energy efficient and sustainable building design from Oxford University in Oxford, England. She is a Senior Resilience Analyst with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colo., leading disaster recovery, resilience, and sustainable development efforts nationally and internationally. Brett graduated from John T. Hoggard High School in Wilmington, N.C., and earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Appalachian State University and a master's degree in administration, leadership, and policy with an emphasis in early childhood education from the University of Colo. in Denver. He is the co-founder and co-owner of The Nursery School, Colorado's first completely all-outdoor, nature-based preschool.
The couple resides in Golden, Colo.
