The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will offer a hunter education class in Encampment beginning on April 9.

The classroom portion will be held in the library at the Encampment School and will meet every Tuesday and Thursday beginning on April 9 and running through April 25. A mandatory field day will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 27, and will include safety in the field, game tracking and gun safety. The hunter education exam will also be given during the field day.

There is a $10 fee per student, cash only please. Students must attend all class sessions to earn a hunter education certificate. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult for all class sessions. To enroll in the class, sign up online at the Game and Fish Department webpage at wgfd.wyo.gov/education.
