Machelle Kay Zampedri, loving daughter of Veneita May and Harry Lee Jones Jr., was born on May 8, 1957 in Denver, Colo. and raised in Castle Rock, Colo. Machelle passed away unexpectedly from complications of pneumonia on Jan. 17, 2019.
Machelle was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry, and her parents.
Machelle is survived by sister Connie Keogh-Dwyer of Boulder, Colo., brother Harry L. Jones III of Hawkins, Texas and sister Kathleen (Bill) Bender of Sandpoint, Idaho; numerous nieces and nephews and stepson Larry Zampedri of Denver, Colo.
Machelle spent her working career in the mines of western Wyoming and in the construction industry.
Machelle and Larry moved to Saratoga in 2008 to be close to the great outdoors they both loved so much. Time together was spent enjoying motorcycle rides, hunting and fishing. Machelle's greatest love was creating a warm and comfortable home for Larry, her kitties, Molly and Lucy, and cooking for their friends. Machelle was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Saratoga and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Green River, Wyo.
A memorial service will be held this summer to celebrate her life and for Machelle to join Larry in a place they both loved, the Upper Green (Cora, Wyo.).
