CCSD2 expels student

Board votes to ‘adopt the findings of law’ and expel student

The Carbon School District No. 2 Board of Trustees held a special meeting at noon on Oct. 22 as they discussed the expulsion of an unnamed student in executive session. Starting the meeting at noon, the board immediately entered executive session, which lasted approximately 45 minutes. Coming out of executive session, the CCSD No. 2 Board of Trustees made the decision to “adopt the findings of law” and expel the unnamed student.

Due to the student being a minor, neither the name of the student nor the school which they attended were discussed. The next regular meeting of the CCSD No. 2 Board of Trustees will be at 4 p.m. on Nov. 13 at Encampment K-12 School following a work session at 2 p.m. in the same location.
