First public notice ran with incorrect date
Following the public notice in the Sept. 25 issue of Rawlins Times that the current provider of the Platte Valley Medical Clinic, Dr. Bryan Kaiser, would be closing his practice on Oct. 19, concern swept the Valley. A second notice ran in the Oct. 3 issue of the Rawlins Times with an altered date of Oct. 24.
The Saratoga Sun reached out to the Rawlins Times and spoke with Shawn Therrian, legals and classifieds representative for the newspaper. Therrian informed the Sun that the date of closure placed in the first public notice of Oct. 19 had been her error. She added that, after the article ran in the Saratoga Sun about the notice, Kaiser had called her to ask if he had correctly done the notice.
According to Therrian, she informed Kaiser that he had, in fact, correctly written the public notice but that she had made the error before publication. She told the Sun that she felt terrible about having made the mistake in regards to the public notice.
The final date, while previously thought to be Oct. 19 due to the previously published public notice, will be Oct. 24. This is a developing story and the Saratoga Sun will continue to keep you informed.
