Unexpected resignation puts museum board on lookout for potential candidates
In a recent press release, the Saratoga Museum Board announced it would be closing the museum for the season on Sept. 2 due to the “sudden and unexpected resignation of Saratoga Museum Director Mikayla Larrow.” The museum board cited both Larrow’s departure and a lack of docents for the early closure, which was decided at a meeting held in August.
Despite the departure of Larrow, according to the press release, the Saratoga Museum Board expects to re-open the museum during Memorial Day weekend next year. The board also announced that it will begin searching for a new director to replace Larrow immediately.
Anyone interesting in applying for the position of museum director is encouraged to contact the museum by email at [email protected].
