Police to implement child safety program

Saratoga PD asking for donations to distribute materials

The Saratoga Police Department is asking for the help of local businesses as well as industrial and professional leaders in implementing their child safety prevention education program for both children and adults in the community.

In a letter from Chief of Police Robert Bifano, it is stated that the police department will be providing “child safety and drug prevention education material for the children, preschool and older, as well as materials on identity theft, internet safety and safety for our senior citizens.”

The materials are designed by the National Child Safety Council, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The police department is asking for donations ranging from three dollars for one child up to $210 for seventy children.

Those who support the program will be listed on the prestige page of all the activity manuals under the heading “Provided As A Public Service By People Who Care.”

Anyone looking to make donation to aid the child safety prevention education program can do so one of three ways. Donations can be made with a debit or credit card at www.donatencsc.org and enter program number “wy-4-c-2” when prompted, by calling the NCSC toll free at 1-877-472-3377 or by making a check payable to National Child Safety Council and mailing it to:
