Unemployment rate down

In a recent press release from the Research and Planning section of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, it was reported that the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell from 3.9 percent in March to 3.8 percent in April. This is the lowest level reached since November 2008.

Compared to a year before, unemployment fell in 14 counties, rose slightly in eight counties and remained unchanged in Laramie County at 3.4 percent. The largest decreases occurred in energy producing areas of the state.
