Robbie Evelyn Zeiger

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Robbie Evelyn Zeiger passed away at the Palisades Living Center in Palisades, Colorado on March 29, 2018. She was born on February 3, 1938 in Dale, Arkansas to Chester F. and Esther (Melson) Tabor. The family moved to Hanna in 1946 where she spent her childhood years. She met Floyd “Bud” Zeiger and they were later married on July 27, 1957. They moved to Saratoga where they made their home until his passing. Robbie moved to Rawlins where she was the manager of the Key Motel for many years. She then moved to Montrose, Colorado to be closer to her daughter.

Robbie was an avid hiker, she climbed two 14,000 ft leads after the age of 65. She loved to volunteer her services to the community and was a volunteer at the museums in both Montrose and Olathe, Colorado. She enjoyed meeting people who came into the museums and listening to their stories.

She is survived by her daughter Yvonne Zeiger (Bob Overton) of Gunnison, Colorado, her son Billy Zeiger (Maureen) of Encampment, her grandsons Christopher Russel of Encampment and William Skylar Hart Jr. of Gunnison, Colorado, three brothers, Leslie D. Tabor of Everett, Washington, Wesley E. Tabor (Carole) of Rawlins and Conley F. Tabor (Patti) of Auburn, Washington; five sisters; Sue Cureton, Lois Seldomridge, Catherine Lawrence and Ginny Autio (Kelly Anderson) all of Rawlins and Lynda F. Brown of Redmond, Oregon; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd, her infant son Ronnie Allen Zeiger, her parents and three sisters, Betty Glenn, Bonnie LeBlanc and Myrtle Russell.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial will be this summer at the Saratoga Cemetery.
