Miners fall to Tiger attack

Lady Miners outplayed in the post, Miners balanced scoring falls short

Saturday, the Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) High school basketball teams went to Encampment and left empty handed.

The Lady Miners were coming off a two game winning streak before the Saturday game.

The Lady Miners lost to an extremely strong Encampment team 62 to 16.

"Encampment is a talented team, and there is no denying that," Jackie Jones, head coach of the Lady Miners basketball team. "Taylar Scott and Jessica Nelsen played good defense on the top of our zone, but we struggled to stop scoring in the post."

Amy Campbell had 6 points and 11 rebounds.
