Medicine Bow town council hears update on projects totaling 300 wind turbines, gives letter of support
The Medicine Town Council met at 7 p.m. on Nov. 13 and got an update from Krista Mann of Invenergy regarding two proposed wind projects, Echo Flats and T.B. Flats.

To date, Invenergy has completed land surveys and were working their way through the industrial siting process for Department of Environmental Quality.
Mann asked the Medicine Bow Town Council if it would provide a letter of support for the projects. Sharon Biamon, town council member, asked when Invenergy would break ground and Mann said the company hoped to break ground in the Spring of 2019 and be on line by 2020. Kenda Colman, town council member, wanted to know the number of turbines for the project. Mann said 100 at Echo Flats and 200 at T. B. Flats. The council approved a letter of support for the Invenergy wind projects.

George said they had considered getting a small generator just for the system.
