HEM football coach sees positives in 81-44 loss to upperclassmen heavy Guernsey-Sunrise
Zack Scott, the Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) High School football coach said in the beginning of the season, he had a young team and there were going to be some games that would be difficult.
The Guernsey-Sunrise Vikings were one of those teams Scott knew was laden with upperclassmen players that proved to a bit too much for the young Miners to overcome.
The score of 81-44 takes away from of the bright spots Scott sees with his team.
“Even with the loss, we learned and became better football players,” Scott said.
