Landing a big one

The Saratoga Fire Department was asked to be on hand to watch for mishaps during landing. The Saratoga Sun was told by firefighters there that though the runway is long enough for such a large plane, the width of the strip causes crosswind concerns.

During a week when Saratoga Airfield was busy with dozens of private jets coming in as part of the Conquistadors annual pilgrimage, a large Airbus Business Jet landed.

The Airbus parked in a turnout off the taxiway as the normal parking apron could not accommodate the large craft.
