Saratoga Airport Board member Bobby Chitwood announced that he is resigning his seat on the board in an email sent to several members of the board and town council.
In the email which was also sent to the Saratoga Sun, Chitwood said he was out of town too often to give the necessary time to the board, and also cited a “conflict that apparently will not be resolved,” as reasons for his resignation.
Chitwood, who joined the board in 2014, said he wanted to stay on the board until issues surrounding hangar leases and the airport’s minimum standards were ironed out which he said they had been.
“The community should have no doubt the Saratoga Airport Board is looking out for their overall best interests,” Chitwood said in the email. “I thank everyone for allowing me to be a part of their lives in this little community, and I wish you all nothing but the best.”
