Museum 'goes with the flow'

The Saratoga Museum will be hosting a history trek around Saratoga’s famous mineral hot springs Saturday, June 3.

The four to five hour trek, entitled “Go with the Flow,” meets at the Saratoga Museum at 8:30 a.m. and will travel around the area with local historians presenting interesting aspects of the hot springs’ past.

The tour guide will be Saratoga historian Dick Perue. Joining Perue will be Indian expert Chilly Rollison, Paulson medicinal well descendants Marion Berger and Jamie Campbell, and Saratoga Museum docent and long-time history buff Mary Pigg. Others with information concerning the area are invited to volunteer.

The tour will be limited to 50 trekkers with members of the Saratoga Historical and Cultural Association given preference. To sign up for the trek and/or become a member of the Saratoga Museum, call 326-5511. Tour cost is $20 each for members and $25 for all others. More details of the historic trek will be released during the next few weeks.
