Work on bridge west of Ryan Park to delay WYO 130 traffic beginning Monday, I-80 stretch repaved
Beginning on or about Monday, April 24, road crews will begin a guardrail project on a bridge on WYO 130 west of Ryan Park, causing delays for drivers.
The bridge is located at reference marker 57.79, approximately 10 miles east of the WYO 130/230 junction and four miles west of the Ryan Park Road turnoff.
Workers will be replacing a guardrail and a rail along the bridge. S&L Industrial is the contractor for the project.
Traffic across the bridge will be reduced to one lane, and flaggers during daytime hours and yield signs during night hours will allow each direction of traffic to take turns crossing the bridge.
The speed limit across the bridge will be reduced to 20 mph while work takes place.
Delays up to 60 minutes are possible. Efforts will be taken to minimize delays during the morning and evening commute hours.
The project is scheduled to be complete by mid-May, weather permitting.
Section of eastbound
I-80 near Walcott
Junction to be repaved
A section of Interstate 80 near Walcott Junction will be repaved this year, and traffic will be moved to the westbound lanes while work takes place.
The paving project will happen in the eastbound lanes between mile markers 233 and 240 and includes the Walcott Jct. interchange (Exit 235 - WYO 130, U.S. 30/287).
Over the next two weeks, workers will enact temporary lane closures on that part of I-80.
Weather permitting, all traffic will be moved to the westbound lanes with one lane in each direction on May 1. Interchanges will remain open.
Work is expected to wrap up later this summer.
H-K Contractors is the contractor for the project.
This project complements previous work in the westbound lanes.
