Hanna library to show local artists, gets upgrades

The Hanna library will be featuring local artist's work for the month of April. Tammy Paige, Hanna branch manager said the art program starts April 3. Each week will feature new artists through the month.

The first week has Cheyenne Hunter, Ed Schaffer, Jackie Nelson and Conor McGraw displaying their art. The week of April 10 will feature Kelsie Irene, Perri Freeman, Jason Nelson, and Cloe Olsen. The week of April 17 brings James Hughes, Olivia Tanner, Rhia Wentz, Caycee Born, Kaylee Woods and Maisun Christie. The last week of April 24 features Ellen Kenneda, Rose Dabbs, Olivia Tanner, Janet and Sterling Conover.

Paige said Ellen Freeman has been the coordinator of this exhibition. Freeman works at the Hanna library. The library, in addition to bringing these artists to the attention of the town, has been upgrading its facilities to make the environment more attractive to customers. The children's room was a storage room until Paige and her husband John turned it an place for younger readers to hang out. Hanna library hours are Monday from 1 to 6 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
