Vernon Dean Wagner, 78, of Saratoga passed away March 14, 2017 at his residence. He was born December 20, 1938 in Bridgeport, Nebraska to parents Evelyn A. (Schilling) and Milo M. Wagner.
It’s difficult to put into words the impact of a man’s life, but when it comes to Vern Wagner it’s practically impossible. Vern truly was one-of-a-kind. He could make anyone feel immediately at home with his sense of humor and friendly smile.
Vern left an unforgettable legacy as son, brother, uncle, husband, friend, father, and grandfather–and so much more. His legacy continues through his beloved family: Preceeded in death by a son, Mike Wagner. Survived by his wife Arline Wagner and five other children, Debbie Garris, Tamara Turner, Valenda Costigan, Milo Wagner, and Scott Wagner. He also lives on in 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
