Doug, Kathy Campbell celebrate 50 years

Douglass C. and Kathleen M. (Roletto) Campbell will celebrate their 50th Anniversary this Saturday, February 25, by attending the Wyoming Cowboys basketball game in Laramie.

After the father of the bride bailed the groom and his groomsmen out of jail, Doug and Kathleen were wed at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in San Diego, Calif. on February 25, 1967.

Doug was working as an engineer in Southern California after graduating from the University of Wyoming. He quickly tired of wearing a tie to work and wanted to move back home to Wyoming. Without a look in their rear view mirror, they packed up their four kids and moved to Saratoga in 1977.

Together the Campbells dove into the hospitality industry, when they purchased a dilapidated Wolf Hotel. Despite knowing virtually nothing about the restaurant/bar business they were able to build the Wolf into a thriving business. Their dedication and love for each other, their family and the hotel has grown the Wolf into a cornerstone of the community and a highly respected restaurant in the region.

Doug and Kathleen are the parents of Kirsten Campbell (deceased) of Saratoga, Jason (D'Ron) Campbell of Saratoga, Judd Campbell (Nora Asbury) of Saratoga, and Meghan (Torrey) Pedersen of Hilo, Hawaii.

They have seven grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Jaden, Douglass, and Anthony Campbell; Burgan and Ava Campbell; and Simon Pedersen.
