Meet the press

Jim Thompson, Production Director, at the Cheyenne Tribune Eagle describes what happens in the inserting area. The roller-coaster-like structure at the top of the room drops papers onto inserting stations where ads and the like are put into the Tribune Eagle and sister papers.

Pictured here are some of the four color process print rollers and their attending workstations.

The mammoth machine takes up four stories of its custom built building. Seen here are three stories of the actual press. Below is another story where the paper rolls are fed into the press.
