Linda Skordas was recently selected unanimously as Realtor of the Year for 2016 by the Carbon County Board of Realtors. Linda has been an active member of the Carbon County Board of Realtors since 1988. She also previously won the title of Realtor of the Year in 1998.
Linda grew up in Rawlins where she married her husband and helped raise two children.
Linda loves Carbon County and all it has to offer its citizens. "I love to take people on tours of Carbon County ... there is so much to see and do. People thinking of re-locating here don't realize the beauty and opportunities we have to offer."
A 28-year member of the National Association of Realtors and a graduate of the Realtor Institute, Linda has taken hundreds of hours of continuing real estate education. This continuing education includes, but is not limited to; Contracts, Negotiations, Budgets, Fair Housing, Trust Accounting, Practical Application, Closing, Ethics, Pro Standards and other topics. Linda's favorite classes are the Ethics and Pro-Standards, which includes the "Standing Tall Cowboy Ethics Workshop."
Linda prides herself as a Real Estate Professional who builds relationships on knowledge, experience, care and trust.
To be a better board member, Linda has attended leadership training by Steve Beasley past Wyoming Association of Realtors (WAR) President, attended a board training at the Carbon County Higher Education Center given by attorney Greg Dykeman of Cheyenne and board training by Bill Miller of the Local Government Liability Pool.
"I was a buyer's agent for the Carbon County Commissioners when they decided to pursue the possibility of purchasing the Hugus-Ferguson building for the Carbon County Museum. What an honor that was."
She has held several positions on the Carbon County Board of Realtors including Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and President.
She currently serves as the President for 2016.
She has been the multi-listing chairman, the fair housing chairman, financial and budget chairman, the ethics and procedure chairman, by-law and policies and procedures chairman, and most recently worked with the board to develop the core standards for the board that are required by the National Association of Realtors and the WAR.
