Saratoga High School cross- country returned home after a successful outing at the Ft. Bridger Invitational in Fort Bridger, Thursday.
Middle School Boys performed well, with three runners finishing the 2.2 mile run in the top 10. Gavin Bartlett completed the run in 13:19, good for third place. Grant Bartlett turned in a fifth place performance with a 13:18 run and Grady Bartlett’s 13:36 time was good for seventh place.
The varsity boys team had two runners with top 10 finishes in the 5 kilometer event. Jeremy Detterer finished the run in 18:10 and came in seventh place. Reid Schroeder, who placed fifth last week at the Saratoga Invitational, finished in eighth place in Ft. Bridger, completing the course in 18:17.
The varsity girls runners had two of three competitors land in the top 10 for the 5 kilometer race. Katie Loose came in ninth place with a run time of 22:55 and Ashlynn Johnson finished in 22:59, good for 10th place.
The Saratoga Cross Country team will meet next Oct. 7 at the Prairie View Golf Course in Cheyenne for the Cheyenne Invitational.
