Cowboy Basketball Camps will return in June, with the individual camp beginning first on June 5 and running through June 8. Registration can continue through the first day of camp, though it should be known that space is limited for this overnight camp. It’s available for boys aged 8-18.
Skills Camp follows from June 13-15 and is open to boys and girls grades K-12. According to the camp’s website, this is an opportunity for campers to enhance their basketball techniques and pack in some more knowledge about drills to improve their future playing. This camp will use a combination of Wyoming Cowboy team and individual drills to help teach beginning skill sets. The website says the camp is designed with fun in mind, with a learning environment that uses creative techniques, team-building principles and individual instruction.
The Team Camp is available for high school boys from June 16-18. The website describes the goal of this particular camp to create an atmosphere of improvement where student-athletes and coaches alike get the opportunity to learn better. There will be six games played at regulation level.
According to a press release by the University of Wyoming, local youth will have a chance to learn from new head coach Allen Edwards when the University of Wyoming men’s basketball team hosts its 2016 summer camps. Edwards, his staff and returning Cowboy players will provide instruction at three separate camps in June. All camps will be held in the Arena-Auditorium, War Memorial Fieldhouse and UniWyo Sports Complex in Laramie.
