Melcine T. Craig, 95, of Saratoga, passed away April 15, 2016 at the Saratoga Care Center. She was born April 14, 1921 in Robinson, Kan. to parents Zadia D. (Moses) and Bert C. Lassley.
Funeral services will take place on Fri. April 22, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Valley Chapel in the Saratoga Cemetery. Pastor Gene Smith will officiate.
Pallbearers will be John W. Craig, II, Trent Rimmer, Rory Grubb and Bobby Johnston. Honorary Pallbearers will be Travis Rimmer, Doug Howard, Shawn Butterfield, Joe Schnering and Gary Schnering. Interment will follow in the Saratoga Cemetery.
Melcine had worked for many years as a food server and for ten years for Larsen's Hardware.
She loved baking and also enjoyed reading, flower gardening, sewing and crocheting.
Survivors include sons, Doug Howard of Wash., David (Charlotte) Berkham of Ore. and John W. Craig, II of Saratoga; daughters, Judy Holt of Ore., Ferne Jean (Richard) Bouie of Ore., Patrice (Gary) Schnering of Colo. and Patricia Ostrem of Colo .; brother, Bob Lassley of Wash .; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Craig; sisters, Ferne and Lela; brothers, Keith, Herman, Jerry and Jack Lassley; and grandsons, Scott and Monte Ostrem.
