Encampment High School’s boys’ and girls’ track team competed in Casper at the Glen Legler Early Bird Invite on Saturday, March 19.
For the event, the Encampment girls’ team placed sixth overall with 26 points. The Boys’ team did not place.
McKenzie Powell placed first with her 34’ and one-half-inch triple jump, and second place by running the 800-meter run in two minutes 31 seconds. She completed the long jump with a distance of fourteen feet, ten inches.
Paige Powell ran the 400-meter dash in 1:06.35 and had a high jump of 4’11”, both good for sixth place finishes. She also turned in a 28’6.75” triple jump.
Ashlynn Johnson’s 1600-meter run time of 6:12 got her seventh place in that event, and she had an 800-meter run time of 2:20 and a 4’1’ high jump.
Cassidy Little ran the 200-meter dash in in 31.78 seconds and threw a 27’8” shot put and 68’10” discus.
Cheyanne Jordan did the 100-meter dash in 15.15, and threw 25’10.25” shot put and 76’11” discus.
Noelle Peterson spent 32.72 seconds running the 200-meter dash, then threw the shot put 26’5” and her discus flew 71’1”.
Lauren Buford ran 800 meters in 3:12, and Taylor Huntley did the 100-meter dash in 16.64 seconds, 200-meters in 35:32 and made a 10’9.25” long jump.
On the boys’ team, KeeGan Johnson ran the 200-meter dash in in 29.68 seconds and made a 5’4” high jump.
Hunter Hammer ran the 400-meter dash is just under one minute at 59.59 seconds.
Guy Erickson threw a 28’10.25” shot put and a 95’6” discus.
Wyatt Cox completed the 100-meter dash in 13.88 seconds, threw a 31’.5” shot put and a 69’9” discus.
Cody Cor ran 1600 meters in 6:01 and Kyler Miller’s 100-meter dash time was 14.40 seconds, and he ran the 200 in 29.98 seconds.
Due to the spring break holiday, officials were unavailable for comment.
