Serving the Platte Valley since 1888

Diana Raymer

Diana Raymer passed away at her home in Saratoga, Wyo. on March 3, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Diana was born in Golden, Colo. on Nov. 23, 1954 to Robert and Mildred Beumer. She grew up in Golden and attended the local schools. She graduated from Golden High School in 1973. She married her high school sweetheart, Randy Raymer Nov. 23, 1973. In 1974 they moved to Saratoga where they would begin raising their family. They were married 42 years until her passing. They shared a never-ending love but were also the very best of friends.

Diana and Randy raised two children, Tonya (Dean) Bartholomew and Richard (Abby) Raymer. Diana is the proud grandma of Ethan and Anna Bartholomew and Kelsea and baby Raymer expected to arrive in April. Diana always had a special kindness for children and was well–known as the Wyoming grandma that loves all the little children.

Diana always had a big, beautiful smile and was known for sharing it with her many friends and family. Almost any holiday found her in the kitchen with the kids and grandkids, baking or making a special decoration of the season. Diana was locally famous for making decorations for her home and office, and for her special recipe carrot cake. She and Tonya made many craft donations for local fund raising events. Throughout the years, her family always had some big adventures hunting, fishing, camping and traveling. Diana was an accomplished hunter and she was the rose among thorns when it came to riding a snowmobile with "the guys." She was always a good sport when things didn't go quite as planned. Her favorite spot in the last year was at the family cabin located near the north fork of the Encampment river. She enjoyed just watching the sun and her family enjoying their time together. It also gave her another place to apply her decorating skills. Diana came to know and love her lord Jesus in the summer of 2011 and was an active member of the Saratoga Alliance Church.

As a young mother Diana worked for the Excel Preschool and at the Cameron Real Estate office. In 1983 she went to work at the LP sawmill office, eventually becoming the office manager. In 1992 she joined forces with Randy and became the office manager and backbone of their construction company. Over the years she adopted many of her "boys" that worked there. She considered these men to be among some of her very best friends. She always made sure to have holiday treat baskets for them and a few in between holidays also.

She is survived by her husband Randy, children Tonya, Dean, Richard and Abby. Grandchildren, Ethan, Anna, Kelsea and baby Raymer, brothers Donald, Robert, sister Cree, mother Mildred Beumer, mother in-law Betty Raymer, sister-in-law Susan Cameron and her very special friend Tabatha Farver. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Beumer, father-in-law Al Raymer and all of her grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at the Platte Valley Community Center in Saratoga on Friday, March 11 at 5 pm. A private service for her will be held this coming summer. Honorary pallbearers are Will Ward, Don Price, Cash Behnken, Doug Russell, Cody Shirley, Storm Claypoole, Matt Hayes and Ben Green.
