The Carbon County District No. 2 team competed against students from three other schools (Kemmerer, Jackson and Natrona County), so a sweepstakes (team) trophy was not presented. However, they held their own against a competitive field, coach Jacob Mickelsen said.
In individual events, Jackson placed fifth in humorous interpretation, while Encampment senior Jacob Dickinson placed 2nd in dramatic interpretation and impromptu speaking, and 3rd in original oratory. Hanna-Elk Mountain-Medicine Bow senior Mariah Scharosch placed second in poetry and sixth in drama. Saratoga junior Maya Zeiger placed fourth in drama and sixth in impromptu (despite laryngitis), while Saratoga sophomore Robin Gloss placed third in impromptu and Saratoga freshman Kieran Neville placed sixth in humor, and the Saratoga sophomore-freshman duet team of Amber Williams and Kailey Hytrek tied with another team for fifth in their event.
