Rust sweeps games

Saratoga Care Center

The facility’s activity program is based on residents’ interest and allows residents to achieve a greater level of self-esteem. Further, it provides residents with continuing contact with the community because of the many volunteers that assist residents as they enjoy activities at the facility.

On Sunday afternoon, six residents played Dominoes with Pat Rust winning. On Monday afternoon, five residents played Yahtzee with Pat Rust winning.

On Tuesday morning, four residents played Uno with Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor, Tondi Johnson, with Pat Rust winning.

On Wednesday and Friday afternoons, residents played Bingo. Elaine Burge Pat Rust, and Barbara Reed won Four Corners. Elaine Burge and Barbara Plummer won Blackouts. Volunteers were Lila Worden, Dawna Erickson, Gloria Rakness, Elder Coleman, Elder Maake and Elder Klinger. On Thursday morning, residents played Yahtzee with Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor, Tondi Johnson, with Pat Rust winning.

On Saturday afternoon, residents played Blackjack.

For exercise, residents did Wii Bowling on Sunday and Saturday mornings and Sittercise of Monday and Friday mornings.

During the evenings, residents watch Turner Classic Movies.

On Sunday afternoon, members of the Encampment Presbyterian Church gave our church service.

On Wednesday morning, two residents had their hair done, and 11 residents had their fingernails done by Georgia Schroer and Janice Kerpan.

On Thursday, residents helped Kathy McMorrow decorate the facility for Christmas.

On Friday, two residents had chicken fried steak for Lunch Out at the Saratoga Senior Center.

On Saturday afternoon, residents enjoyed the Ice Cream Social.

We wish to thank Gloria Rakness for the very kind donation for resident Christmas presents. Any individual or organization in the Valley wishing to make financial donations for resident Christmas presents would be appreciated.
