Games provided fun and laughter throughout the week. On Sunday afternoon, four residents played Dominoes with Pat Rust winning. On Tuesday morning, three residents played Yahtzee with Elaine Burge winning. Our Laundry/Housekeeping Supervisor, Tondi Johnson, ran the game. On Wednesday and Friday afternoons, residents played Bingo. Elaine Burge, Doc Alexander, Koreen Spoon, Barbara Reed, and Carol Higby won Four Corners. Barbara Reed and Koreen Spoon won Blackouts. Volunteers were Lila Worden, Dawna Erickson, Elder Coleman and Elder Maake. On Saturday afternoon, residents played Blackjack.
For exercise, residents did Wii Bowling on Sunday and Saturday mornings and Sitterise of Monday and Friday mornings. On Thursday morning, Tondi Johnson, led the exercise.
On Tuesday afternoon, residents watched “The Cheyenne Social Club” and had popcorn.
On Sunday, Pastor Scott Stinson of the Saratoga Alliance Church led our church service. Terry Hicks gave the sermon, and Doris Davis played hymns.
On Monday afternoon, five residents went shopping at Family Dollar with Sue Morawski.
On Wednesday morning, three residents had their hair done, and 11 residents had their finger nails done by Georgia Schroer and Janice Kerpan.
On Thursday afternoon, the Catholic Women hosted the monthly birthday party. We celebrated the birthday of Rick Ackerman with ice cream and cake.
On Friday, three residents had roast turkey and birthday cake for Lunch Out at the Saratoga Senior Center.
On Saturday afternoon, residents enjoyed the Ice Cream Social.
Any individual or organization in the valley wishing to make financial donations for resident Christmas presents would be appreciated.
