Games provided fun and laughter throughout the week. On Sunday afternoon four residents played Dominoes with Pat Rust winning. On Tuesday morning, four residents played Yahtzee with Marjery McAulay winning. Our laundry/housekeeping supervisor, Tondi Johnson, ran the game. On Wednesday afternoon and Friday afternoons, residents played Bingo. Kenny Hoagland, Pat Rust, Elaine Burge and Truth Karstoft won Four Corners. Carol Higby, Pat Rust and Doc Alexander won Blackouts. Volunteers were Lila Worden, Gloria Rakness, Dawna Erickson, Elder Coleman and Elder Maake. On Thursday morning, residents played Uno with Dietary Manager, Bethany Manley. On Saturday afternoon, residents played Blackjack.

For exercise, residents did Wii Bowling on Sunday and Saturday mornings and Sitterise on Monday and Friday mornings.

During the evenings, residents were able to watch Turner Classic Movies.

On Sunday, Doris Davis stood in for Pastor Gene Smith and led our church service. She also played traditional religious music on her keyboard.

On Monday afternoon, five residents attended Resident/Food Council under the able leadership of president Pat Rust, discussing concerns about living at the facility.

On Wednesday morning, four residents had their hair done, and 12 residents had their fingernails done by Georgia Schroer and Janice Kerpan.

On Thursday afternoon, residents sorted through our Christmas decorations with Kathy McMorrow.

Friday, two residents had scrambled eggs, sausage, and hashbrowns for Lunch Out at the Saratoga Senior Center.

On Saturday afternoon, residents enjoyed the Ice Cream Social.

We wish to thank Bill Baker for the kind financial donation of quarters for Bingo. Anyone in the valley wishing to make financial donations for resident Christmas presents would be greatly appreciated.
