Coffee, dominoes and quilts for fun

Sagebrush Senior Center

It’s been another week at the office, everything going smoothly so far.

Our morning coffee and chatter group Laura Rettelle, Jo Bonnet, Connie Beckham, Patty Herring, Karen Dibbern, Arleigh Simmons, Linda York, Ellie Behrmann, Susan Herring added Paul Hume and Monty Hobbs to keep the funny stories rolling.

No bridgers again this week.

Dedicated domino players Bill and Madeline Telfer, Lorraine Knotwell, Phil Fleming, Shelia and Joe Remick, Bob Thompson and Dick Blake have been keeping those wagers going for added fun.

The quilting bees, Nancy Lynch, Jo Roberson, Sandy Miller, Joan Dowdy and Phyllis Smith have finished up Sandy Millers quilt, I can’t wait to see what piece they do next especially since it will be next year’s raffle quilt.

The puzzle workers Joan Dowdy and Jo Roberson have finished up yet another puzzle quite quickly. I guess I need to put a little more challenging one out there.

We had about 15 people take advantage of blood pressures and glucose checks last Thursday. We will have the glucose checks again at the beginning of December. Our next blood pressure check is 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.

We had a good turnout for breakfast at lunch Saturday with 32 people. Our Birthday/Anniversary Evening Meal is this Friday. The menu is turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie. Our entertainment will be Steve Moulton. It’s always a pleasure to have him perform. Please call by 12:30 p.m. on Friday to get your seat reserved for dinner. We will be closed the 26 and 27 for Thanksgiving Holiday to spend time with family.
