It will now be easier for the public to access agendas and governing body related information, thanks to the Carbon County School District No. 2 (CCSD#2) transitioning to a paperless public meeting technology called BoardDocs developed by eGovernance Solution.
BoardDocs is a web-based service that will allow CCSD#2 to make meeting agendas and supporting documents available on the district website http://www.crb2.k12.wy.us. The information is available through a link on the district website.
“It will save the district time and money that has been required in the past for copying and mailing the information,” a press release from CCSD#2 said.
By following these steps, the public can have access to the link:
• Go to www.crb2.k12.wy.us
• Hold your cursor over the tab on the left titled “Board of Trustees”
• Click on the tab “BoardDocs/Meeting Agendas”
• This will take to to the CCSD#2 BoardDocs website
• On the left hand side is a list of the meetings. (Currently, the Sept. 21, 2015 meeting is there. Shortly, the agenda for the Oct. 19 regular board meeting will be available.)
• Click on the meeting you wish to see
• A box appears – click on the button “View the Agenda” and the agenda will appear
• You will be able to print the agenda from this screen
“Electronic distribution will not only save time and rescues, but it will also provide unprecedented public access via the CCDS#2’s website to agenda items and other governing body related information,” the CCSD#2 press release said.
All documents associated with the meeting are automatically archived and can be accessed by the meeting date or by using the system’s search feature.
“Our intent is to streamline the process, save costs to the district and be more transparent,” the press release said.
For questions about the new paperless policy or the eGovernance initiatives, interested parties can call superintendent Dr. Jim Copeland at 307-326-5271 or email him at [email protected].
