Serving the Platte Valley since 1888

Master Plan team has new member

Kassey Westring, former Saratoga Town Council member, joined the Saratoga Master Plan Steering Committee at their Sept. 16 meeting. Westring is also a former employee of PMPC Engineering.

The committee and the town’s contractors were also introduced to Jon Winter, the new Director of Public Works.

The focus of the Sept. 16 meeting was on documentation that Community Builders, Inc., the contractor who is preparing the plan, hopes to obtain during the planning process. The committee is specifically waiting on the Light Intensity and Ranging (LiDAR) mapping data and a survey of Tyler Pickett Park for land use planning purposes.

The contractors are also hoping the town will be able to provide accurate data on water usage, something mayor Ed Glode said the town should be able to provide soon because of the new metering system.

The other major topic of discussion was how to bolster survey information after the initial distribution at the Party on the Platte Saturday.

The next meeting of the Saratoga Master Plan Steering Committee will be on Oct. 21 at 4 p.m.
