55-Alive, LIEAP and more

There were eight here to play bingo on Tuesday. Two-dollar winners were Grace Johnston, Lila Worden and Janet Lasco. Janet Lasco and Grace Johnston shared a $2 round. Grace Johnston won a $3 round. Sue Howe won the $5 blackout round. Thank you Winnie Allen for watching that card for me.

There were two tables for Duplicate Bridge Monday. High winners were Janet Donelan and Vivien Campbell. Second high went to Mariel O’Grady and Barb Wise.

We will be having a 55-Alive defensive driving class up here at 9 a.m. on Sept. 9. Please call or come by and sign up to take the class. It does help with your insurance to take it. We will be having lunch up here, and we would love to have you stay for lunch. The menu for that day is tuna casserole, mixed veggies, peaches and a brownie. Please let us know if you will be staying.

We had 14 here for the music on Tuesday evening. JR brought Mathias Williams with him to perform for us again. I think everyone enjoyed his music as well as the others. We always enjoy the music. We just wish more people would come out and enjoy it with us. We will have music Sept. 8 and we will be serving chili at 5:30 p.m. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. We hope to see everyone here for dinner.

It is good to have Helen Wykle back with us. She has been in California for several weeks.

The LIEAP (Low Income Energy Assistance Program) forms are being mailed out and when you get yours I will be very happy to help you fill it out if you would like me to. If you do not get a form we can print one off of the internet. So please watch for your form.
