Guy Erickson broke 90 in 18 holes for the first time in his high school career this weekend. The Saratoga Panthers Golf team fought windy weather, but it didn’t seem to deter Erickson as he shot an 86.
“It was a nice accomplishment for Guy and hopefully it will give him confidence moving forward,” head coach Jared Mason said.
The first tournament was at the Wheatland Invite, Friday and Saturday, with Saratoga competing against Torrington, Rawlins, Laramie, Douglas, Lusk and Wheatland.
Erickson, Christian Soles, Torin Hedley and Hazer Hinkle scored a combined 870.
Erickson came in eighth place with his total score of 176 for 36 holes. Soles shot 221, Hedley scored a 235 and Hinkle had a 238.
