Talk about “blink and you’ll miss it”, August is already half gone! It seems time goes by faster and faster each day.
This past week, coffee and chatter group included Karen Dibbern, Laura Rettelle, Connie Beckham, Patty Herring, Jo Bonnett, Arleigh Simmons, Linda York, Dodey Brown and Nancy Lynch.
Our dedicated dominoers who love to get a game in everyday include Joe and Shelia Remick, Lorraine Knotwell, Phil Fleming, and Bill and Madeline Telfer, with the winners going to Joe, Phil and Madeline.
It looks like Nancy Lynch, Jo Roberson, Karen Casson and Nancy Flohr have this quilt just about finished, they should be wrapping it up this week. Can’t wait to see what beautiful piece they have for us to look at next.
Jo Roberson, Joe Remick and Joan Dowdy have started the 750-piece “Willow Creek Mill” puzzle, it looks a little challenging with the colors.
We had two tables of mind-busting Bridge which included players, MaryLou Noton, Sheila Johnson, Whitey and Alice Stewart, Vivien Campbell, Rosemary Craighead, Barb Wise, Marianne Blue and Millie Parker.
This Friday is our evening meal at 6 p.m., country fried steak is the feast, get your name on the list by noon Friday to come enjoy some good food and great entertainment provided by Phil Fleming. It is always a pleasure to hear him play.
If scheduling allows, we will have blood pressures taken at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
If you would like to get in on the discussion of opening Battle Pass (Highway 70) earlier in the spring, the meeting will be held Wednesday (Aug. 19) at 7 p.m. at the Grand Encampment Opera House. Talk to you next week!
