The Saratoga Resort and Spa has been recognized on CNN's travel website as one of the best "Luxury Beer Vacations."
"I'm often surprised when we make these lists, because we get these honors from time to time," said Cindy Loose, Marketing Manager at the resort. "But to be a part of the CNN-I mean, there's only like, ten of America's Luxury Beer Vacations. I'm just amazed that we are there and we're in such great company. If you look at the businesses that are there-I'm just in awe."
The Saratoga Resort and Spa is the second oldest brewpub in Wyoming and it has been recognized in-state as well as all over the country. Loose believes that a large part of the appeal comes from the activities offered by the Resort that make use of the incomparable outdoors experience in the state. "I don't know of a resort in Colorado, or Wyoming, or really anywhere that has a brewery, hot pools, restaurant, golf course. I mean, we just have so much under one roof. And I think that's what makes it a luxury vacation. It's a one stop shop."
Touring the facility, one can see the luxury spa, brewery and restaurant (headed by a five star chef)and numerous outdoor facilities. A deck by the hot pools was recently constructed, and Loose revealed that they have plans to hopefully put in a fire pit soon so that guests can exit the pools and keep themselves warm outside in all weather. The hot pools at the Resort are compared to the natural hot springs in Germany, in that they are odorless.
Loose explained that the entire staff is honored and excited about making a national list like this. They hope that this recognition will boost their status as a four-season resort. "The beer is on tap, it's always cold, and so it's a year-round attraction."
