Care center gets good review

Games provide laughter and socialization during the week. On Sunday afternoon, four residents played Dominoes with Pat Rust winning. On Tuesday morning, four residents played Yahtzee with Elaine Burge winning. On Wednesday afternoon and Friday afternoons, residents played Bingo. Pat Rust, Marjery McAulay, Kenny Hoagland and Nadine Caleb won Four Corners. Katherine Beckham, Pat Rust, Nadine Caleb and Elaine Burge won Blackouts. Our volunteers were Lila Worden, Dawna Erickson, Gloria Rakness, Sue Bartlett, Christi Wallace, Elder Palmer and Elder Bingham. On Saturday afternoon, residents played Blackjack.

Movies provided entertainment for residents throughout the week.

For Lunch Out at the Saratoga Senior Center, four residents had cheeseburgers on Monday, and four residents had French Dip sandwiches on Friday.

Sunday and Saturday mornings, residents played Wii Bowling.

Sunday afternoon, Pastor Scott Stinson, of the Saratoga Missionary Alliance Church, led our church service. Doris Davis played traditional religious music on the keyboard.

Monday afternoon, four residents went on a Van Ride over the Snowy Range with Sue Morawski. They had ice cream in Centennial.

On Tuesday morning, Pastor Arlen Hughes offered Bible study to five residents.

On Tuesday afternoon, eight residents attended Resident Council with the state surveyors, discussing concerns about living at the facility. The state surveyors concluded their three day survey on Thursday morning, giving us a good survey with no deficiencies in quality of care or quality of life.

On Wednesday morning, six residents had their hair done, and seven residents had their finger nails done by Merlynn Hopes, Kathy McMorrow, Georgia Schroer and Janice Kerpan.

Thursday afternoon, 11 residents watched Christi Wallace, Kathy McMorrow’s daughter from Maui in Hawaii, make various shapes with balloons. It was fascinating to watch her making them. She is quite talented. Kathy McMorrow served cupcakes too.

On Saturday afternoon, residents enjoyed the Ice Cream Social.

We greatly appreciate the continued support of our volunteers throughout the week. Anyone wishing to become a volunteer, please contact Tom Mansfield, Activity Director, at the facility.
