Kiwanis Stars of Tomorrow to perform Sunday

Deadline to sign up is today

Platte Valley Kiwanis is hosting a talent show at 2 p.m. April 12, at the Platte Valley Christian Center in Saratoga.

The “Stars of Tomorrow” event provides an opportunity for amateur K-12 performers from Saratoga, Encampment, Hanna, Elk Mountain and Medicine Bow to showcase their performing arts abilities.

The event is free and open to the public. High school winners from the event will be eligible to participate in the Kiwanis Division 13 Stars of Tomorrow event on April 18, 2015 in Laramie, Wyo.

Platte Valley Kiwanis has been hosting a “Stars of Tomorrow” talent show annually since 2008, providing dozens of students an opportunity to perform for the community.

Past performers from the Platte Valley have gone on to win scholarships at regional Stars of Tomorrow events and are now musicians performing across the country and even in different parts of the world.

A variety of acts are expected including vocal and instrumental music, dancing, dramatic presentations and other performing arts.

Participants must register by April 8 at http://www.plattevalleykiwanis.portalbuzz.com
