Games provide laughter and socialization during the week. On Sunday and Saturday morning, residents played Wii Bowling. On Sunday afternoon, six residents played Dominoes with Janet Kennaday winning. On Wednesday afternoon, 11 residents played Bingo, and Friday afternoon, 14 resident played Bingo. Marjery McAulay, Barbara Plummer, and Russell Cox won Four Corners. Russell Cox won the Blackout. Our volunteers were Sue Bartlett, Lila Worden, Joy Hamilton, Gloria Rakness, Makayla Fairbanks, Elder Cabela and Elder Levitt. On Saturday afternoon, residents played Blackjack.
Movies provided entertainment for residents throughout the week and the weekend. In the evening residents watch the Turner Classic Movies channel. On Tuesday afternoon, residents watched “Gone With the Wind” and had popcorn as they watched the movie.
For Lunch Out at the Saratoga Senior Center, four residents had sloppy Joes on Monday. On Friday, four residents had vegetable soup and a tuna salad sandwich at the center.
On Sunday afternoon, Sharon Hughes stood in for Pastor Arlen Hughes and led our church service. Doris Davis played traditional religious music on the keyboard.
On Monday afternoon, five residents went on a Van Ride to the snow gate on the road to Battle and on the Baggett Rocks road. They had ice cream at the Riverside store.
On Wednesday morning, eight residents had their hair done, and 11 residents had their finger nails done by Janice Kerpan, Georgia Schroer, Connie Patterson and Kathy McMorrow.
On Saturday afternoon, residents had ice cream cones.
We will be having our annual Easter Egg Hunt for kids in the Valley on Saturday at 2 p.m. There will be ice cream after the hunt for the kids.
