“Captain Underpants” parties, tax help, computer coding
A “Captain Underpants” party is planned from 1-2 p.m., March 6 at the Saratoga Library for ages 6-12.
The Encampment Library is hosting two “Captain Underpants” parties from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on March 18 and 25.
Activities will include cut out and decoration of paper underpants, an action-packed relay race and a reading of a book from Dav Pilkey’s “Captain Underpants” series. If you value truth and justice, don’t miss this pre-shrunk and cottony celebration at the Carbon County Branch Libraries.
Free in-person tax preparation services will be held from 1-5 p.m., March 18 at the Saratoga Branch Library.
When attending the sessions, please bring W-2 forms, social security numbers, dates of birth for all household members and other relevant tax forms including 1099s and 1098s. Also if possible bring your 2014 tax return.
A “Creative Coding for Beginners” class will be held from 3:15-4 p.m. at the Encampment Library on March 10 and from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. at the Saratoga Library on March 13.
Teens can come hang out and play games that utilize the basics of computer programming languages.
A “Super Circuitry Basics” class will be held from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. at the Saratoga Library on March 13. Librarians will show teens how to use circuit sticker kits and experiment with different conductive materials.

The Carbon County Library Book Discussion Group will meet from 7-9 p.m. at the Encampment Library on March 19 to discuss “The Handmaidens Tale” by Margaret Atwood.
