The Lady Tigers played a
great defensive game last
Friday night when they faced
off against Baggs but were
hampered by some ball control
issues and missed shots
in the second half of their
tough loss to the Lady Rattlers
51-43. “We failed to
make some plays down the
stretch and that was the difference
in the outcome,” head
coach Amy Clay said.
Courtney James put up
20 points and was 5 of 7
from the 3-point line and
Cassidy Little contributed
12 points and five assists.
Lady Tigers
bit by Rattlers
Alyssa Barkhurst had a big
game under the basket with
8 points, six assists, four
steals and 10 rebounds.
Konnar Knotwell had 3
points and five rebounds.
Despite the loss, coach
Clay was optimistic, “We are
playing our best basketball
right now. I’m pleased with
our man defense, it continues
to improve ... I expect us to
play hard and stay focused,”
said Clay.
The Lady Tigers are looking
forward to regionals
where they play the No. 2
ranked team, the Burlington
Huskies at 2 p.m. Thursday
in Lander.
