The Lady Panthers season
came to an end Monday with
a loss in the pigtail to the
Lusk Tigers 44-55.
The Panthers played the
Lusk Tigers at home Friday
night, which ended in a loss
of 34-57.
Monday’s game decided
who would head into regionals
as the 2A Southeast No.
4 seed.
Saturday, the Lady Panthers
lost to No. 1 seed Southeast
55-11. Justine Fourman
and Meredith Lincoln who
almost always have double
digits in scoring only scored
5 points between them in the
game against the Southeast
Cyclones.
The Lusk Tigers had a
physical defense and the
girls didn’t handle it very
well, head coach Scott Bokelman
said. In the first half,
the Lady Panthers scored
10 points to the Tigers 30.
In the second half the Lady
Panthers improved their
game and played much better,
gaining 24 points to the
Tigers 27.

Lady Panthers lose chance for regionals in pigtail
Bokelman said. “We didn’t
match up very well.”
The Lady Panthers had
an early practice Monday
morning. “We talked about
what they needed to do,”
Bokelman said.
With their season over,
Bokelman hopes the players
will continue to work on their
skills outside of the season to
be ready for next year.
The Panthers are losing
four seniors, Justine Fourman,
Kelsie Samson, Peyton
Fisher and Veronica Lincoln.
Fortunately, they will be
retaining one of the hottest
shooters, especially at the
3-point line – Meredith Lincoln.
The sophomore has
already broken one school record
and consistently scores
double digit points. Bokelman at the beginning of the season
promised the girls would work hard this season,
and as they finished their season with an over
record of 9-12, it is an improvement over last
year’s record of 6-17.
