Encampment calls special meeting

The amendment to the Alcoholic

Beverage Ordinance

for the town of Encampment

was passed after it’s third

and final reading. Town

Clerk Doreen Harvey stated

the only change in the

third reading was that the

attorney’s advice that the

term “alcoholic liquors” be

replaced with the term “alcoholic

beverages”. Councilman

Gary Stull moved to approve

the third and final reading

and the motion was passed.

According to Harvey,

“There is one small update

since the regular meeting

minutes. The Town made

a motion to accept an offer

for us to purchase 507 Mc-

Caffrey, However, prior to

entering into the contract

the owner has since notified

us that she has sold the

property to someone else. So

the purchase will not take

place,” Harvey said in an

e-mail notification.
