Having fun in February

Playing Bridge were Millie Parker, Kay Fleming, Sheila Johnson, Rosemary Craighead and Linda Campbell

Quilters meeting at the senior center included Nancy Lynch, Lila Walbye, Kay Fleming, Sandy Miller, Jo Roberson, Phyllis Smith and Betty Merrill.

Happy February, those having birthdays this month are Bev Russell, Hazell Ballard, Jack Wieburg, Sharon Prett, Nick Casson, Jack James, Jessie James, Art Hopkins, young Bob Herring and Vonda Wieburg. Celebrating their anniversary are Shorty and Hazel Ballard.

Blood Pressures will be taken at 11:30 a.m., Feb. 12 and 26.

On Feb. 14, we will have breakfast at noon. The menu is sausage gravy over biscuit, scrambled eggs and fresh fruit.

On Feb. 16 we will be closed to observe President’s Day.

For the birthday evening meal at 6 p.m., Feb. 20 the menu is roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, wheat roll and pears. Our entertainment will be Karen Dibbern and Monty Hobbs singing and playing 50s music.

Game night is at 6 p.m. Feb. 27. Be sure to bring a snack to share. We are beginning Senior Gentle Chair Yoga from 2 to 3 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays.

On Feb. 28, we will have our first Movie/Pizza night beginning at 4 p.m.. The movie pizza night will be held on the last Saturday of each month. I look forward to seeing everyone.
