What do you do when your town is overrun by ravenous rats? You call the Pied Piper! Take a trip to Hamelin Town this Friday and Saturday with the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) and over 50 local students as they perform an original musical adaptation of the classic tale, The Pied Piper.
The local cast features Ashley Hartman as the Pied Piper, Kieran Neville as Sara, and Katelyn Bifano and Kaylyn Hunter as the Mayor's Daughters. Also featured are Claribel Oiler, Shelby Randall, Kelly Glode, Campbell Grabow, Nikki Bauer and Haylie Wells as the Mayor's Council and Katharine Backen, Sara Gonzales, Samantha Fiedor, MaKenzie Sheils, MaKenna King, Kenzia Martinez, Jaden Campbell, Dany Bateman and Mya Bower as the Cooks. To complete the ensemble, Jacob Fairbanks, Peyton Hale, Anna Bartholomew, Dallas Jump, John Steele, Garrett Sperry, Kayla Smith, Douglass Campbell, Joseph Bates, Katie Fiedor, Madison Johnson, Daylene Jump, Emily Gonzales, Solvig Hanks, Sophia Powell and Aspen Sewell will appear as the Townskids of Hamelin, and Allyster Ingraham, Sophia Diaz, Bryson Bates, Rheabecca Irby, Chloe Shumaker, Graham Randall, Reegan Jones, Daison Seahorn, Nolan Sheils, Charli Powell, Anthony Campbell, Austyn Chitwood, Audrey Schwerdt, Maggie Elder, Natalie Follum, Jace Westring and Evelyn Fletcher play the troublesome Rats.Kelsey Hytrek, Zowie Irby, Savahnah Wells and Kaitlyn Campbell have served as the Assistant Directors throughout the week.
The Pied Piper will be presented at 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Platte Valley Community Center Theater. Admission will be by donation at the door.
